Chelsea is a true master at her craft. Over the course of numerous years we've engaged Chelsea to systematically re-design each room of our mountain home, and we couldn't be happier with the results. She has an uncanny ability to zero in very quickly on a style modality that perfectly matches what you're thinking. Even if you don't have the words for it, she finds it!

She also has a super impressive rolodex of materials, furniture pieces, artwork, and lighting fixtures that assures your house will be 100% unique. Her domain expertise is quite deep. We absolutely loved working with her and would do it again in a heartbeat! Now we just need a second house so she can design that one too.

I’d really appreciate it if these repeat clients could either expand their current home or just buy another. We’re running out of spaces to make amazing and it’s really bumming me out. This space started as a plain box with a big old desk and they wanted a cozy mountain retreat for their guests to stay in but also needed a little desk nook for remote work. With Blade and Board, we created a storage bench that hugs the giant window overlooking the redwoods, shelving that surrounds the piano and the chicest little desk nook next to a new closet. We layered in all sorts of cozy patterns and textures that reflect the warmth and loveliness of the couple that lives there - stylish but approachable, outdoorsy yet luxurious, layered but not overwhelming.
