Gimme a Mediterranean holiday, but add children

Simpatico joined our remodel team just before demo and we figured she’d add some color to the mix, maybe add in a few design ideas. What we didn’t realize was that she’d bring all the best parts that make our home truly OURS. From the mood boards all the way through to the selection of laundry room hardware, we couldn’t have been more excited with the outcome. You rarely hear people say “I wanna do another whole house remodel”, but it was such a blast that we’d do it all over again. And we LOVE living in our new house. It just feels like “us”.

Seriously, I was so happy with it I’d put a budget line item for “Chelsea Drew” in our budget if I could.

No one needs a holiday escape more than parents of a teenager and two boys under the age of 10. But as busy parents that also run a thriving business (as a couple), European holidays are a little outta the picture for awhile. So we brought that unfussy, laid back Greek vibe (with a dash of Santa Cruz style) to this young family’s very active house.

Simpatico jumped into this major renovation somewhat mid-project, with the expectation that we’d add some personality, brainstorm some ideas, pick some tile. Let’s just say that we were all having far too much fun and what started as a kitchen renovation turned into kitchen, dining, living room, laundry room, bathroom and exterior renovation. And we’re about to start their outdoor entertaining area. When clients are this fun and their style is this playful, you just never want the project to end! Thank goodness they feel the same way, or this could get awkward…
