On the podcast “Slightly Askew, by Design”, and with the help of some special (and far more qualified) guests, we’ll discuss topics like…

  • The power of & problems with interior design

  • Can materialism and money ever be good?

  • Is there a happy medium between hustle and sloth speed?

So if you also struggle deciding what’s perfectly imperfect and what’s entirely misaligned, then we may just be simpatico. Give the podcast a listen (like, share and subscribe if you’re inclined) and together we’ll sort out when things are slightly askew, by design.

Something just felt off…

It began with a feeling…that grew into an itch (maybe a twitch?)…that grew into a voice that honestly just wouldn’t shut the F up.

I love this work, like, more than feels fair. But when I got really honest with myself, something always felt a little OFF. So, my “journalism brain” and “constant drive for self-improvement soul” had to get to the bottom of it. What I found is that in design and in life, some of the best parts aren’t perfect or planned. But how do you know when something is a wabi sabi kinda cool and when is it a trust your gut, this isn’t sitting right sorta situation? It’s not always clear.

Designed for Good

Design is a big, beautiful, powerful tool that not only makes sh*t pretty but can change lives. No, seriously, it’s that big of a deal! Think about the feeling when you rearrange a space and it just “flows perfectly” and you walk out your door and into the world with a smile, a skip in your step and an attitude of kindness and generosity. Now imagine that same principle applied to hospitals, shelters and rehab centers. It matters, it’s magical and the ways a community can harness that is constantly swirling around in my brain. If you work in a space that could use my services, let’s connect and make some magic happen.
