the creative juice behind simpatico. My situationship with design has had its ups and downs for the past 20 years, but we’re back in love and it’s never been better. After getting a fancy journalism degree and working in Silicon Valley high tech PR, I blew it all and followed my dream of working in interiors. Miraculously, I landed a job in LA with the one and only Marjorie Skouras, where I learned the nuts and bolts of the design biz and I gained the courage to break all the rules.

After needing a break from the hustle of ultra-high-end interiors, it was back to the Bay where I did furniture design and e-commerce merchandising, and eventually opened a shop in the Santa Cruz Mountains. After closing the shop and what I’ll call a “mid-life ctrl-alt-delete”, I shifted focus to interiors, my rad kid Otis and my fluffy, jerk of a cat Pearl. I’ve never felt more aligned with my passion and my purpose and automagically the perfect clients have followed.
