Surrounded in cozy, crafty cabin vibes

Chelsea is a true master at her craft. Over the course of numerous years we've engaged Chelsea to systematically re-design each room of our mountain home, and we couldn't be happier with the results. She has an uncanny ability to zero in very quickly on a style modality that perfectly matches what you're thinking. Even if you don't have the words for it, she finds it!

She also has a super impressive rolodex of materials, furniture pieces, artwork, and lighting fixtures that assures your house will be 100% unique. Her domain expertise is quite deep. We absolutely loved working with her and would do it again in a heartbeat! Now we just need a second house so she can design that one too.

It would be impossible to live in this house and not be inspired to create. Imagine living atop a hillside, completely surrounded by the redwood forest, overlooking a flowing river. If you’re not motivated to make art here, I’d be worried.

These home dwellers are equal parts outdoorsy and nesters. They needlepoint, sew, you name it. If it’s creative, they’re into it.

For this space, they asked for a cozy retreat where work could be done and creativity could flow. We added wainscoting, lighting and a coat of paint to the blank canvas. One side of the space houses their sofa, which is topped with a gallery wall of past projects and artful inspiration. It serves as a prime spot to needlepoint and sew. The custom live edge desk and shelving across the room were built to accommodate a sewing space while the other half of the surface functions as an office and gaming space. Did we mention that a portion of the desk raises and lowers automagically turning the standard desk height to a standing desk. It’s maybe one of the coolest things ever.
